Strata Socks - Published in POM POM magazine (PDF)
“The Strata socks are named after this concept of layering in rocks. With their stripes and texture, these socks are the neon pastel version of those impressive geological formations. The simple two-colour twisted ladder stitch creates the gentle texture you can see, and is an ideal playground for colour.”
- POM POM magazine
Strata are worked from the cuff down in the round, with a 2-colour twisted ladder stitch that resembles tiny butterflies. Short rows are used for the heel, and the twisted lader stitch continues along the top of the foot with a stockinette sole. The stockinette toes are worked in the contrast colour then grafted closed.
